People of all ages and backgrounds undergo orthodontic treatment.

Some patients have too many or too few teeth, extreme ‘buck’ teeth, large spaces or overlapping teeth, known as crowding.

Likewise, some patients may only have one or two teeth out of place but would love to be able to smile with confidence.

Common orthodontic problems

• Crowding

Crooked teeth.

• Deepbite

The upper teeth overlap the lower teeth. This can lead to wearing of the teeth.

• Overjet

The upper teeth stick out further then the lower teeth.

• Crossbite

The lower teeth bite in front of the upper teeth. Or the upper side teeth bite inside the lower side teeth.

• Open bite

The upper and lower teeth do not overlap. This can cause a lisp.

• Unerrupted Teeth

When the adult teeth do not erupt.
